Czech Republic is the official partner country of BIM World MUNICH 2025

The Czech Republic will be the official partner country of BIM World MUNICH 2025, underlining the country’s strong commitment to the digitalization of the construction and real estate industry. With a politically anchored BIM strategy, the Czech Republic is among the European pioneers in establishing legislative and practical frameworks for future-proof, efficient, and sustainable construction processes.

A key milestone has been the adoption of the BIM Act by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT), making the Czech Republic one of the first European countries with a dedicated legal framework for BIM. Alongside this legislative step, the ministry is driving the development of a national data standard for construction to ensure interoperability, data quality, and seamless collaboration across stakeholders. By continuously updating its BIM Implementation Concept, the Czech Republic actively supports public contractors and the entire market in the transition toward digital, efficient, and sustainable construction practices.

At the practical and industry level, czBIM / buildingSMART Czech Republic (bSCZ) has become the central platform for the standardization, education, and popularization of BIM. Since 2021, bSCZ represents buildingSMART International in the Czech Republic and builds bridges between experts, schools, and institutions. Its activities range from BIM Academy workshops for students and professionals to the organization of the international BIM DAY 2025 in Prague. In addition, more than 500 experts have already been certified under the buildingSMART Professional Certification Program (PCERT), with new qualification levels under development.

The Czech Republic is strengthening its position at the forefront of the digital transformation of construction in Europe. With the combined commitment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and czBIM/bSCZ, legislative, technical, and educational aspects are interconnected to ensure that BIM becomes practically applicable across the public and private sectors.

Visitors and experts at BIM World MUNICH will be able to experience contributions from the Czech Republic as well as other outstanding projects and technologies on November 26–27, 2025 at the ICM – International Congress Center Messe München.
