With its systematic, pragmatic, and innovation-driven approach, Poland is a leading example when it comes to the digital transformation of the real estate industry. For this reason, BIM World MUNICH is pleased to announce that Poland is this year’s partner country.
Poland adopted international standards (ISO 19650) at a very early stage and accepted this standard as a reference framework. In doing so, the country placed great emphasis on quality and acceptance, not just on formal compliance. BIM is viewed there as a transformation process, not as a mandatory software requirement.
The goal is not merely to modernize the construction industry. In addition to increasing efficiency and optimizing costs, the focus is also on environmental aspects, for example through improved life cycle analyses, optimized resource management, and CAFM.
Poland is now regarded as a driving force within the European BIM community
A key milestone was the gradual integration of BIM into public procurement procedures. This process is supported by close collaboration between ministries, research institutions, industry associations, and companies. Among other things, standards, training programs, and regulatory frameworks have been developed.
Through its focus on Open BIM, the use of open standards, and innovation, Poland is achieving better data interoperability as well as more efficient planning and construction processes.
“Poland has a dynamic BIM community, high technical expertise, and great innovative strength. We are very pleased to have secured Poland as our partner country for 2026 and to jointly provide new impetus for the further development of BIM and CAFM in Europe,” explains Christian Stammel, Managing Director of RM Rudolf Müller Events GmbH.
buildingSMART Poland actively supports the adoption of open standards and the training of qualified professionals. At the same time, BIM is increasingly being linked with future technologies such as digital twins, IoT integration, and AI-driven data utilization. This inherently creates a sustainable, resource-efficient, and transparent construction process as well as corresponding real estate operations.
“We view Poland’s status as a partner country at BIM World MUNICH this year as a clear sign of the growing importance of the Polish BIM community in Europe. We look forward to an in-depth dialogue, new partnerships, and joint initiatives aimed at future-proofing the construction industry,” says Anna Rydzy, Chief Operating Officer of buildingSMART Poland.
Visitors and experts at BIM World MUNICH can attend presentations from Poland on outstanding projects and technologies on November 24 and 25, 2026, at the ICM – International Congress Center Messe München.
The preliminary program is expected to be published this summer, and tickets are available at: www.bim-world.de/registration
