From Design to Data and back
Description
As an international design office operating in over 30 countries, we face the challenge of managing multiple delivery standards shaped by regional practices, client requirements, and varying scopes. These diverse factors have made implementing a single, uniform BIM and data standard across all our projects exceptionally challenging. To compare projects meaningfully and make sustainability a portfolio-wide driver, we must shift from project-specific practices to an organization-wide BIM and data standard that produces consistent, comparable data.
This talk presents strategies to turn fragmented information into reusable data that is relevant for future design decision. The vision is a shift from reporting towards early, comparable embodied-carbon assessments embedded in the design process.
