Description

The vast majority of buildings once in operational do not perform as designed. To annihilate this performance gap and monitor in real time the energy consumption and thermal comfort, a Performance Digital Twin (PDT) is necessary.
It consists in a Dynamic Thermal Model, calibrated with real data to reduce the uncertainty on critical assumptions but also ensure the building continues to be operated as designed.
Four steps are necessary to create such Performance Digital Twins:
1) Energy audit / data collection
2) Creating and populating the Energy Model
3) Model Calibration
4) Live connection
Concepts, available technologies and study cases will be presented to illustrate what PDT are, how to create them and what their outcomes are.
