Description

How can a single integrated platform help cities plan their future, manage risks, and monitor critical infrastructure? This session presents two real-world implementations: Roma Capitale and the Campania Region.
The presentation introduces usBIM.geotwin, ACCA’s open-standard platform connecting GIS and BIM to create operational Geospatial Digital Twins. By combining territorial data, building information, and infrastructure assets in a unified environment, PAs can improve planning, monitoring, and decision-making.
The Roma Capitale case study shows how cadastral, environmental, mobility, and utility datasets can be integrated to support urban governance. The Campania Region case study demonstrates how GIS-BIM integration enables infrastructure monitoring, anomaly detection, and proactive maintenance strategies for bridges and road networks.
The session shows how these workflows can be replicated by PAs of different sizes to support data-driven territorial management.
