Description

BIM has transformed MEP design through coordinated 3D modelling, improved accuracy, and more reliable project delivery. However, increasing project complexity and growing demands for sustainability, early-stage decision-making, and continuous collaboration are exposing the limitations of current BIM workflows.
This presentation explores the shift towards BIM 2.0 from an MEP design perspective. Rather than a single technology change, BIM 2.0 represents a transition from model-centric workflows to data-driven design, where information is continuously accessible and connected across disciplines and project phases.
This enables earlier integration of energy and carbon analysis, more iterative design processes, and improved coordination. The session outlines key BIM 2.0 principles and what they mean for organisations adapting to this shift.
