Lutz Bettels, Vice President, Regional Executive has been working in the CAD and Engineering IT industry since 1989. He has been responsible for Infrastructure Owner/Operators in EMEA since January 2016. Lutz Bettels holds a diploma in information management from the University of Koblenz with focus on computer graphics and business process modeling. Throughout his career, he worked in various functions, such as Support Engineer, Consultant, Product Manager, Marketing Manager and Director Professional Services at Intergraph, Bentley Systems and Nemetschek. In 2002, he switched to Sales Management at Nemetschek, followed by Solidworks and finally returned to Bentley Systems.

Jon Fingland is a Business Unit Director for Trimble Buildings, he began his career as a Project Manager for a Top 100 general contractor where he specialized on healthcare projects and programs. He later joined California-based Meridian Systems working in various management capacities with the company's Prolog and Proliance construction program and capital management software. After Meridian was acquired by Trimble, Mr. Fingland led the subsequent acquisitions of WinEst, Vico Software, and Dimension5 for Mobile Field Management, and has since played a major role in the planning and creation of Trimble Buildings Group. Mr. Fingland holds degrees in Structural Engineering and Construction and a Master's degree in Business Management.

Sean Flaherty is Chief Strategy Officer of Nemetschek SE. With his profound knowledge of international markets and looking back on many years of experience in the software industry, he forms part of the Executive Board of Nemetschek SE. In this function, he accounts for the overall Nemetschek Group strategy and its performance in the global architecture, engineering, construction and management markets. In addition, he is responsible for the group-wide M&A strategy, its technology development and PR industry establishment. An innovator and proponent of computer aided design (CAD) software for more than 25 years, Sean is an industry veteran who has played an instrumental part in creating design software that works the way designers think, and he was a proponent of Building Information Modeling (BIM) before it became an industry trend. Sean Flaherty started his career as a software engineer with Vectorworks in 1985. During his career, he took on more and more management-focused roles and was Vice President of Engineering when Vectorworks was acquired by Nemetschek in 2000. Following his post as Chief Technology Officer, he became CEO of Vectorworks in 2005 and was thus in charge of the strategic and operative management with the objective to further increase revenue, growth and market share. In November 2013, he was appointed to the Executive Board of the Nemetschek Group. Since April 2016 he is exclusively working as CSO of the Nemetschek Group. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

Michael Max Buehler is the Head of Infrastructure and Urban Development at the World Economic Forum. Michael is responsible for managing strategic relationships with approximately 50 global CEOs from the engineering, construction, real estate and urban services sectors. Michael has seventeen years of international, academic and professional experience in the construction, mining and real estate industries including project management positions on major public infrastructure and public-private partnership projects. Prior to joining the Forum, Michael worked with Deloitte in the Infrastructure and Capital Projects Advisory practices in Vancouver, British Columbia. Michael managed projects for clients and industry leaders at C-suite level including major public infrastructure, mining and real estate projects as well as on capital programs and portfolios for private and public entities. Scott Chatterton is the International Building Information Modelling (BIM) Integration Leader for HDR Inc. and the leader for BIM Planning and Quality for the HDR Digital Design group. HDR Inc. is a leading international architectural firm, recognized for award-winning designs for healthcare, science and technology, government, academic and private-sector organizations. Scott integrates BIM technology and the digital design process into the daily functionality of HDR’s offices in North America, Germany, China, the Middle East, and Australia. As the leader for BIM Planning and Quality within the Digital Design Group, he serves as BIM advisor on HDR’s major projects. Using his extensive knowledge, Scott creates and applies efficient protocols using the latest BIM techniques and technologies. As a result of his experience, Scott is a sought-after author and presenter at BIM-related conferences, where he addresses ideas on BIM workflow, processes, protocols and quality. Scott is also a member of the board of directors for the Canada BIM Council. Quinton is responsible for staff development, training and support of Building Information Modelling systems nationally at Cottee Parker Architects. He has worked as a documenter and model manager on a diverse range of projects from small scale residences to large scale health, defence and government projects. With a keen interest in 3D modelling and an eye for detail, Quinton was often tasked with providing support and training to colleagues from very early in his career and naturally progressed into software development, technical support and training, working for the Australian distributor of ARCHICAD. Quinton was the first person in Australia to receive BIMcloud accreditation and has worked as a BIM consultant to many architectural and building companies across Australia and has provided ARCHICAD and BIM training to hundreds of design professionals for over a decade.

Naveen is a registered architect and a Director at the practice. He has extensive international experience working on large scale greenfield, mixed use developments. These projects contained multiple tall buildings built above large retail podiums. Naveen’s success with these projects called upon his capacity to manage the often competing demands of mixed uses of the proposed development. Naveen has demonstrated his ability to deliver these projects by designing buildings and urban spaces that meet the expectations and needs of the clients and various end user groups. His experience with complex, large scale projects required him to be able to balance his passion for design and sustainability with the need to deliver commercially viable outcomes. He uses a range of strategies to achieve this but he never loses sight of the need to deliver a design that creates a point of difference in the marketplace. Tall buildings and large projects introduce coordination complexities and challenges for the architect. His skill in leading multi-discipline teams of architects and consultants adds value to projects irrespective of the size and scale of the project. Hugo Dorph, 51 years old, has had an impressive career within digital business. After getting his engineering degree (M. Sc. Eng.) in 1991 from the Technical University of Denmark, he spent 14 years at IBM, working within sales, software and e-business, in various international leadership positions and was already among the e-business pioneers in the mid-90s. In 2005, Hugo Dorph was appointed CEO of Maconomy, an international provider of ERP software. He led a significant turn-around of the company, ending with the delisting and successful sale to American Deltek in 2010. Hugo Dorph moved to the US, oversaw the successful integration of Maconomy into Deltek, and headed one of Deltek’s global divisions, until he and his family decided to return to Denmark. At the time he was recruited to his job as SVP Commercial in Solar, Hugo Dorph was a working founder of the cloud-based software start-up Flexya A/S. Today, 50% of Solar’s business is digital. Our appointment of Hugo Dorph as CCO underlines the significance we place on Solar’s commercial and digital development and emphasises the importance of continuously growing this digital footprint and ensuring an optimal customer experience.

Gerald Egger works at the austrian motorway and expressways operator (short ASFINAG) as a coordinator for as-built documentation. He also develops processes for the implementation of BIM-methods (Building Information Modelling). He studied surveying and geoinformatics at the Technical University of Graz, Austria. Since 2011 he has coordinated the submission, transfer and storage of digital technical data and documents of construction projects to the central data management system of the ASFINAG. In 2015 he started to analyse on-going work processes and how they can be optimized by using BIM-methods. He is a member of the Austrian Standard Institute (AG 011.09 digital structure documentation) as well as a member of the Austrian Society of Construction Technology (ÖBV) – BIM workgroup.

The 45-year old holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and a diploma in Business Administration, Management and Operations, both from Technical University Berlin. Dr. Fabritius used to be a partner at McKinsey where he advised customers with a focus on construction materials and operations.In November 2014, he joined Xella as COO with responsibility for Production, Purchasing, and Technology. Amongst other initiatives he introduced the Lean Management concept to the Group and continues to successfully transform operations to more efficient and safe processes. After his studies at Technical University of Darmstadt, Oliver worked for almost 10 years in an Engineering Office and as a Ph.D. Student before he joined Hilti in 2006. In 2015, he took over the position of Senior Trade Manager Engineering for Central Europe. Besides his leading role in the development and refinement of the Engineering approach at Hilti and the corresponding launches of products, software and services, he also works closely on the definition and implementation of the BIM Strategy for Central Europe.

To challenge the common way of doing things and to innovate the (conservative) construction sector has been a driving force for Dag Måhlstrand during his 15 years as a professional within the Tyréns Group. Dag has been acting as a leader since 2006. In 2017 he was recognized as best young leader the industry in Sweden by receving the price “Guldhuset” from the Centre for Management of the Build Environment at Chalmers University in Gothenburg 2017. After he graduated at the Royal University of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, he started his career at Tyréns as a Structural Engineer. Jürgen Sturm joined Google in 2015 where he works together with his team in Munich on 3D reconstruction and scene understanding for ARCore / Tango. Previously, he worked at Metaio on virtual shopping and indoor navigation. From 2011-2014, he was a post-doc in the computer vision group at the Technical University of Munich. During this time, he founded FabliTec, a startup focused on 3D person scanning and printing. He obtained his PhD in robotics from the University of Freiburg in 2011. His PhD thesis received the ECCAI best dissertation award 2011 and was short-listed for the euRobotics Georges Giralt Award 2012. His lecture "Visual Navigation for Flying Robots" was distinguished with the TUM best lecture award in 2012 and 2013. Ilkka Tieaho (M.Sc.) works in Sitowise as a development manager. Ilkka’s responsibilities, at present and over the past ten years, in projects has focused on the digital design and construction processes and the implementation of BIM-workflow. In addition, Ilkka is working as head of Sitowise’s BIM education and development programme. Ilkka also is a member of buildingSMART Finland and acts actively to develop present practices of building industry in bsF-workgroups and in on-going projects.

Håvard Vasshaug is a Design Technologist at Snøhetta; one of the world's most renowned design practices. Håvard has a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and uses his experience with providing Building Information Modeling research, development and automation to share knowledge of digital building design solutions at Snøhetta and through his own companies. He regularly speaks about technical workflows, digital innovation and strategies for training at multiple international conferences and seminars, and receive wide acclaim for his talks and classes. He writes about BIM and visual scripting solutions on vasshaug.net and is a Bad Monkeys founding member. Håvard has a passion for using technological advances to design fantastic buildings, while helping others operate effectively and joyfully.

Dr. Walcher holds a PhD from TU-Graz, Austria and is a leading geo-spatial innovator and domain expert. He launched city-scenes.com (1997) and built a global 3D city modeling business (2000). He was partly funded by the US Navy and initiated the sale of his employer Vexcel to Microsoft (2006). There, in charge of the imagery budget, he created the world’s largest aerial program and other strategic partnerships. Dr. Walcher left Microsoft at the end of 2015 and has since started 4 companies.
